School of Speculation


A discarded pile of notes and a business card found on the street become the starting point for an investigation into a mining conference. Layers of abstraction mask the geopoliticical, ecological and violent reality of the industry. The project exposed my own entanglement in these complex systems of extraction, global finance and consumption.

Project developed as part of School of speculation, nomadic critical design school 2019. Exhibited at South London Gallery and Design Museum London.
